This gum tree stood out to me as I was on one of the back roads in my home area of Willalooka.  The full, overflowing branches of soft yellow flowers on the gorgeous sunny day made it impossible for me to drive past and inspired me to create this painting as soon as I got home.  I love this piece as it reminds me of home and the moment I took to actually stop and enjoy the simple beauty.
